Filing A Medtronic Lawsuit
May 6th, 2008Filing a Medtronic lawsuit requires in-depth knowledge of the issues surrounding Medtronic and their defibrillators. By the time of the recall in 2006, thousands of people had been implanted with the devices. Designed to regulate a person’s irregular heart beat, the Medtronic defibrillators would release a small electric shock when needed to jolt the heart back into a regular rhythm. The defibrillator would be surgically placed inside of a patient’s chest, with the Sprint Fidelis Wire Leads being placed inside of a vein. While the device showed a great deal of initial potential to solve the problem of faulty heart rhythms, it was not long before defects began to be felt by patients with the implanted devices.
